Port de Ciutadella

Hello Menorca...

The talented captain of this ship maneuvered the big ferry into that little port ahead.

The ferry came into the town of Ciutadella, Port de Ciutadella to be precise. The port is lined with really neat looking cliff/rock things.

AWESOME!!

Here's our Menorcan rental. A little Opel that went from 0 to 60 in about 5 minutes. ;) And boy was it fun.

We found that in Menorca (and Mallorca) most of the road do not have names, or the names are not really used. This makes for confusing directions. Many people gave directions based on 'the big road'. Which isn't terribly descriptive when there are several roads that are all the same. They also don't have names for their rotaries (rotundas or roundabouts, depending on the language you are using) so instead they stick random statues in the middle of each one and call it by the statue. So this rotary is the wild horse rotary. Its very weird and makes for very interesting directions. Good thing we enjoy getting lost!
