There is me looking oh so thrilled.
Then we went down to the disco. This place is called Cova d'en Xoroi and it is the coolest place! There are three deck type things built into the side of the cliffs.
From here you can see all three decks. I love the little umbrella things. They are the same ones that are on most of the beaches as well.
Within the cave there is neon lighting running along little smaller caves. We tried to get a picture of it because it looked really cool, but you couldn't see anything without the flash, and with the flash it was too bright. Oh well. This is still a neat picture. Right in the middle you can see the neon tube running along the floor.
Mini rave!! :) This is one of the dance floors.
One of the coolest things is that this is still a forming cave. On the right side of the picture you can see a hole in the floor caused by the dripping water above. There is a real small stalactite above the hole.
Here is a close up of the hole formed by the dripping water.
There were several dance floors in little rooms around the cave, but this was the big, main dance floor. The design on the floor is actually a giant compass with north, south, east and west marked. Right behind the camera is an opening looking out over the sea. I can imagine that there are absolutely stunning sunsets.
This is the same room from the other direction. Alan is standing almost on the west point of the compass.
We had to pay a few bucks to get into the place (cover charge) but admission came with a free drink, so we sat at the little tables for awhile and chilled. There was a German couple nearby who asked us to take their picture, so they took ours for us in exchange. Then they came over and we all chatted for a bit. They had all sorts of questions about digital cameras and stuff. It was nice. After awhile we left and hit the gift shop at the top :)
After the caves we had to start heading back to the other side of the island to catch the ferry back to Mallorca. But first we had to stop at the beach in Cala en Porter and go swimming at a Menorcan beach. Here are a bunch of random ducks and stuff that were also enjoying the Menorcan beach :)
Ahhh...beautiful.
We went in for a five minute swim here, just to cool off before we headed back. The water (especially right near the beach) was FULL of these things that looked like blue circles with clear centers. They were some sort of dead fish (I think they were dead anyway). There were millions of them washing up on the shore. Kind of yucky. But lots of other people were swimming, so we figured it was all ok. We were talking about them in the water and some nearby guy said they were known as merman's condoms :)
