Ferry to Menorca

When Alan's dad was in the military he was stationed on Menorca (one of the other Balearic Islands) and he absolutely loved it. That is actually the reason we chose to honeymoon where we did. He told us so many great stories that we just had to go over. We originally wanted to rent jet skis and cruise over, but it turns out the island is a bit further from Mallorca than we thought :) So instead we took the ferry over instead. This boat was a huge one!

There's me getting on the boat at 8am.

This boat was so big it had 2 cafeterias on it. We had a little problem with breakfast when ordered leche (milk) and the lady (very confused) gave us 2 cups of creamer. I guess that's the risk of not speaking the language fluently.

All the fancy workings of the boat.

There's the T.M. Alcudia again.

This is a pretty cool piece of machinery. It stretches real wide and picks up the big truck boxes and carries them around the lot and stacks them up and stuff.

Its picking it up....

Moving it around....

And stacking it up.

Here we go leaving the port.

Bye Mallorca.....
