Pedal Boats

After the boat tour Tuesday morning we rented a peddle boat and went pedaling around the lake by the hotel. The boat was pretty crappy and not meant for adults (we found out a bit late). The weight of the two of us in the boat pushed the back down so much that the paddle in the front just barely touched the water. So we got a great leg workout and didn't cruise very fast, but it was still fun. :)

Check out all of the construction! Everyone is desperately trying to get buildings built before 2001.

Here's our hotel from another angle. On the right is a man-made island in the man-made lake. This island belonged to the resort next to us and that's where they built their pool and clubhouse. Its a pretty neat idea.

The lake had channels going around Port d'Alcudia and there were walking bridges crossing over it all along the way.

After our little workout we decided to go swimming. Here is our hotel pool. It looks very Mediterranean, but the effect is kind of wrecked by all of the nearby construction. Oh well.

The sun ended up going away and it got chilly out so I didn't swim. But Alan still did!! (and you should have heard some of the names my loving husband called me for not swimming!! :) ).

Hehehehe... there's our friend the chubby kid. The kid was there with his parents and he spend a lot of time entertaining himself in the pool area. Fortunately for him (and his parents) we was good at entertaining himself. They had a room in the other wing and his dad would sleep on the deck while he played in/by the pool. He was very amusing to watch :)
