Church

After going up miles and miles and kilometers of serious S curves, we found this monastery. It was a cool place and the view was incredible! We couldn't find any information brochures (apparently that's not very common round these parts) but we know it is a monastery.

What a view!

This is the main entrance through the wall. Inside there are all of the buildings and stuff.

Now we're in the courtyard. See me? I'm freezing. It gets pretty chilly at the top of the world.

Some religious artwork and stuff.

This garden area was so pretty. All of the flowers were dead/dying, but I'm sure it would be absolutely gorgeous when all of the flowers are blooming.

See, doesn't that look like that end of the world? I can see what the monks chose to build their monastery where they did.

What can I say? Beautiful!

This is what we believe to be a sports/event field. Its hard to see in the picture, but the field is surrounded by stone tables, chairs, and benches. I can just see ancient events taking place here and everyone in the village gathering.

That's part of the road leading up to the monastery.

Not sure what this little room thing was for. Maybe a prison? Its part of the wall surrounding the monastery.
