Searles Castle

Windham, NH: November 2, 2002
Searles Castle was built by Mr. Searle in the 50s (or 60s?) as a place to entertain. When we died he left it to his secretary. Lucky her! At some point it was sold to a church and each year they sponsor a Christmas floral show. The castle isn't open for normal hours, just special events, so we went up for this year's Christmas floral show. (http://www.searlescastlewindham.com/)

One lovely fall day we decided to take a drive up to Quechee Gorge. Alan had never been there and I have fond memories of the place, so I wanted to take him. We had fun.

Hammond Castle

Mom sent me an article about this castle, so we had to go check it out. We went up on a nice summer day with Jim and Julie. The castle is cool, but kind of weird. The guy built it with torture chambers and all. (http://www.hammondcastle.org/)

Saco Bound!

Alan and I went canoeing and camping with Lee and Christine and their group of friends. It was a great time. We did the Saco Bound thing :) Canoed Saturday and Sunday, and camped on the beach of the Saco river Saturday night. We had a great time! Thanks guys :)
