Friday was beautiful! We took our poor rental and went cruising on the back roads again. We went back up to the mountain
overlooking Alcudia and Pollenca and lots of other areas. Here's the dirt road on the way up again.
More roads. Poor rental car!
We don't know what this little building is, but its fun looking.
Some lucky person actually lives here. Hope he has a helicopter or a crazy off-roader or something.
The road up....
There's our hotel!
Going back down again....
Since Friday was so beautiful, and our last day there, we decided to relax and hit a few beaches after our trip to the top of the
world. The lady at the desk of our hotel told us about a restaurant called La Victoria. She said it was a great restaurant and had an incredible view. So, guess where we went for lunch...
The stairs to La Victoria.
We bought some of the plaque letters for our front door :) They broke on the way home :( but we glued them back together and they look pretty nice hanging on our door, spelling 'Johnson' :)
Here is a view of the sea from our seat at La Victoria.
For some reason, unbeknownst to us, there was a rooster walking around outside of the restaurant. It was quite entertaining to watch. Alan fed it a piece of bread and as it was eating a little bird came and stole the bread from the roosters mouth! I was laughing so hard!
Now this is heaven!
Here's me!
This is the inside of the restaurant.
Can you find the chameleon Tessa? :)
After lunch we headed for the beach. The first one we found was a rocky beach. It was nice not to get sand in everything, but boy do those rocks hurt the feet sometimes.
There was a naked couple on the beach next to us. Alan picked up the camera to get a picture of that sail boat coming by the rocks and they jumped up and ran into the water right as he was taking the picture. So we figured we'd put their naked selves up on the Internet. Hope they never find our web site! :)
Here is the boat minus the naked people.
Drop the challupa!
Driving around we found another beach and decided to go for another dip.
After our swim we spent the evening cruising around the mountains. We headed for a church that was marked on the map, but missed it. So we kept driving to see where the road went.
Heheehe...silly tree!
We found a really pretty spot so we stopped to take a few pictures. Here is Alan jumping from one rock to another.
The road ended up taking us to a monastery that was a bit on the boring/touristy side. So we turned around and tried to find that castle again. We drove all around but to no avail. To bad, so sad.
After we drove to the top of every mountain near by, we finally gave up and went home.
